About

About the Blog
Amongst my family and friends, I'd like to think that I'm pretty notorious for getting passionate about books. Any type of book, really, but specifically those in the young adult genre. As such, it's kind of an unspoken rule in my family that unless you'd like to hear how exactly I feel about a book in great deal and the numerous ways it's affected my life (mostly gross sobbing late at night), don't ask me about books. I guess you could say that over the years I've accumulated a lot of pent up feelings about the novels I've read, itching to share and discuss with anyone who'll listen.

And thus, Earnestly Emma was born.

I typically review anything in the YA genre, but truthfully you're going to find mostly paranormal/sci-fi/fantasy, along with a solid heaping of dystopian.

In addition to reviewing books, I'm always open for a good discussion! Feel free to shoot me an email or comment. I'd love to integrate myself into the book blogging community as much as possible, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can.

About Me
I am a 19 year old bookworm with little to no social life, save reading. I love peanut butter, and farm animals, and Doctor Who, and dystopian novels, and country music, and about fifty million other things.

I'm from southern California, where I live with my two Italian Greyhounds, but I'm a (tentative) Special Education major at Northern Arizona University during the school year. Most of the time you can either find me at the beach with a good book, or alternatively curled up in my bed with a good book. Either works!

In case you're interested, here's a sampling of some of my favorites:

  • the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
  • The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins
  • Paper Towns by John Green (or really anything by him, let's be honest.)
  • the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
  • The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
  • Angelfall by Susan Ee

Plus about a million more, of course.

And don't even get me started on my favorite TV shows...
